Carl worked and owned Karlson’s Plumbing & Heating, worked for Wilson’s Packing Plant for two years and was a salesman for Wigman Company of Sioux City for 35 years until his retirement in 1987. He was united in marriage to Frances Anderson on March 19, 1950. He spent two years of college at University of Iowa and two years at Denver University where he graduated with a degree in Business. He was called to the service in 1943 and was honorably discharged in 1945. He graduated from Washington High School in 1943.
